Welcome to the website of the International Conference on Social Science
Research. In 2010, the Conference will be held at the New Orleans Hilton
from Thursday, September 23rd through
Saturday, September 25th.
This interdisciplinary conference
draws together faculty, research scientists, and professionals from
the social sciences, and provide them with the opportunity to interact with
colleagues from the same field and from other, related fields.
Cross-disciplinary submissions are particularly encouraged as is
participation by international scholars. The disciplines represented will
include:
·
Anthropology; Cultural Studies:

Participants are welcome to
submit a paper proposal to present either a
30-minute paper presentation, or to jointly present a
90-minute colloquium
session. We try to organize parallel sessions into Topical Interest Groups,
reflecting different perspectives or disciplines. The type of papers presented include: research
(qualitative or quantitative), theoretical articles, as well as
papers that deal with application, best practices,
and case studies.
Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the meeting, presenters are able to
receive feedback from researchers from a different academic discipline,
often bringing up ideas or concepts that might otherwise be overlooked in a
discipline specific silo. It is a presenter’s conference and we strongly
encourage people to attend all three days of the conference.
The conference registration fee includes a plated lunch each day of the
conference, as well as an opening night reception, providing attendees an
opportunity to meet and get to know each other.
These conferences are now held annually, in cities in North America. Previous conferences have been held in New Orleans, Orlando, Vancouver, and Nashville. Future meetings are scheduled for Orlando and Las Vegas.
Hotel rates at the
New Orleans Hilton Riverside are
only $149 for a single or double room.
